Best Views of Yankee Boy
A full account of our day on Cirque Mountain can be found at Yankee Boy Basin Peaks The day after we hiked Mount Emma we climbed Cirque Mountain from the Yankee Boy Basin Trailhead. A storm was forecasted to come in at noon so this shorter hike was a good choice for the day. The views on this hike were most likely the best of any Yankee Boy Basin peak. We covered 4.5 miles and 2900 vertical in just under 4 hours. Kristi on Cirque's west ridge. Gilpin in the distance Alex on Cirque's west ridge. Cirque dead ahead... Teakettle on the right Kristi above Cirque's white west ridge. Sneffels on the right Kristi on Cirque's official north summit.
